Layered PDF - accessible mapping
The CENTREMAPSlive service has been designed for accessibility through the ordering process to the product formats offered.
'Layered' PDF products offer a powerful way to access mapping without the need for technical software with a resulting saving on investment costs and more importantly making mapping accessible to a wider market.
The format simply requires the free Adobe Reader software (version 6 or later) which supports the splitting of information into layers which can be turned on and off.
This functionality is accessed via the 'layers' tab on the left hand side of the software:

In the example above the layers tab has been expanded and only the OS MasterMap layer is turned on. Revealing information such as contours or aerial imagery then simply requires a click of a button:
