BlomURBEX extended - getting started
A good place to start in Great Britiain is with the Ordnance Survey 1:1250 scale base mapping which provides general features such as buildings, roads and boundaries. This could be supplemented with geo-referenced aerial imagery that may highlight things not shown on the Ordnance Survey mapping such as vegetation.
