Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Samples
Attached are samples of the Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 product. More samples coming soon!The sample is attached in a zipped folder. To access the data you will need to choose to save the file when prompted - preferably to somewhere easy to find such as your computer's 'Desktop' or 'My Documents' areas.
Once saved, go to the location where you saved the file and:
If you have Windows XP:
You will simply be able to double click on the folder to open it. The file will be read only but can be viewed. If you wish to remove the file from the folder simply right click on the file and choose 'copy' and then go to a folder wher you wish to save the file in it's unzipped format (outside of the zipped folder) and right click and choose paste. The image can then be viewed in any photo editing package or with the 'Windows picture and fax viewer'
If you do not have Windows XP:
Then we recommend that you use a standard zip tool such as WinZip. You will find a free trial download and user guide at www.winzip.com.
