Features and benefits
Ordnance Survey OS MasterMap® Topographic Layer is a highly accurate, flexible resource covering nationally some 400 million man-made and natural features, from fields to pillar boxes.
This powerful resource is given greater richness by adding Getmapping PLC's 25cm aerial imagery. Unlike a conventional map, aerial photography makes it possible to see what is actually on the ground and this enables users to pick out prominent features, which might range from old industrial buildings to tree belts, brooks, ponds and even archaeological features which were previously unknown.
The coverage available now includes England, Wales and approximately 60 percent of Scotland. A link to a coverage map is found at the bottom of this page and unavailable areas are 'greyed out' on the ordering interface.
NOTE: For a number of reasons including currency, changes due to Ordnance Surveys' PAI scheme, and the artefacts of aerial imagery data capture, some areas may not appear to match exactly to OS MasterMap. Click here for more information to help understand these data relationships.
