The UK Land Survey Register
An online Reference Library of Land, Building and Underground Services Surveys carried out in the UK by leading Land Survey companies. All participating companies are members of ‘The Survey Association’ (TSA).
Each survey, located by postcode, is indicated by a colour coded flag indicating its type. When activated this flag provides a reference number and the contact details of the TSA member company holding the information.
The use of this Reference Library is free of charge.
How you can benefit:
When investigating a site of interest it can be a significant cost and time saving to be able to quickly access existing information.
- Simply zoom in to your area of interest
- Under 'Step 2 - Product' select 'Choose Fixed Products'
- Then, select 'Land Survey Register'
- You will see markers indicating previous surveys
Whilst we can't allow you to download the information immediately, details of the survey company responsible and a reference are provided and a quick call or e-mail will confirm the nature and availability of the records.
At best:
The information held may include a topographic survey, an internal building survey, elevation, sections and even undergound services tracing.
At worst:
There may be information on the immediate vicinity around your site which provides a useful starting point and can be very helpful where access to busy highways or neighbouring railway lines is restrictive.
An estimated 25,000 detailed surveys are carried out annually by TSA members. It is now possible to identify, locate and possibly acquire valuable survey data held within the private sector.
